Great boat/Great crew/GREAT operation!! Went out on 2 separate days, LOVED both of them. Charley/Valerie/Toby run a tight ship; very efficient dive process. State of the art equipment, very knowledgeable team. Price/Value is outstanding! I have been out with several other Maui dive operators, and would highly recommend ScubaShack!

Today we went to Molokini and dove the front side, then went to the 5 graves spot and dove there. Both dives were GREAT! Captain Valerie, Jim and Toby kept things interesting and fun. We were able to find a white tip shark, an octopus, a barracuda, and even got to go through a small cave. Not only was this my first time diving with Scuba Shack, but I also got certified in the last 3 days. Jim is an amazing instructor. He made sure we had fun while learning everything we need to know about scuba diving. I am glad that he was my instructor, I couldn't think of a better guy to teach me. I will make sure to dive again with Scuba Shack next time I am on Maui!

I had a lovely time diving with Toby during the 2 days I went out with Scuba Shack. My friend snorkeled the first day while I dove (very convenient since she doesn't dive) while we dove Molokini and 5 caves. Great visibility and wonderful experience for a new diver! Captain Valerie ran a great ship!!!

I just wanted to give a big shout out to Captain Val and our guides Toby & Dave. They made my one scheduled dive so much fun that I came back for a second day too. The dive sites were fabulous and Toby's local knowledge of the site was incredible. I really enjoyed the dives and highly recommend Scuba Shack. Thanks guys for hosting the best part of my Maui trip.

Thanks Captain Valerie, Dave, and Toby... The short boat ride to Molokini made getting up early worth it...and then you still have the whole day to do other things too. I had a fantastic time. I was a bit nervous, but still excited to scuba. It had been way over 20 years since my last dive...Dave made me feel comfortable and confident, and wow, I had forgotten how much fun it was to scuba. The new equipment is so much easier to deal with too. The family appreciates the effort and courtesy you showed them during their discomfort (sea sickness). OK, the next time it'll be just me!

Great diving with a very informative and professional team. While shopping for a dive trip by the hotel pool, they were the only dive shop who gave me detailed information about the dive trip. Forget your own gear (leave it at home), use theirs-it is top shelf equipment and is included with the price.

We are very happy to have found Scuba Shack. Captain Valerie, Toby, Greg, and Mary Beth made my first Maui dive experience excellent. Very professional with the equipment, instructions and knowledgable of the area. Awesome equipment. We are still beginning divers and they made us feel safe and comfortable. I have been diving with Scuba Shack now for 4 years when i come to Maui on vacation. This year my 13 year old daughter did her referal for her junior open water. as soon as she got on the boat she started to get scared and didnt want to do the dive at Molokini because she was afraid of the depth. Jim was great with her, he talked to her and calmed her down, he got her to agree to doing both of her open water dives at the second location and he stayed right beside her the entire time. After the first dive she couldnt wait to get back in the water she was so pumped. Without Jim there is no way she would be certified now. Thank you Jim for your professionalism, you made the difference. We also stay at Charlies condo while there and its first class. Scuba shack we will be back. Thanks!

My wife and daughter snorkeled while my son and I both enjoyed the diving at Molokini Crater. Toby and Charlie took good care of us and we really enjoyed the outing. Scuba Shack was GREAT! They run a fun ship, and it felt like we weren't just fares but friends out diving. Toby led us on 2 great dives pointed out the underwater life and even took great pics / video of our group to remember it all. I arrived with my URF and left with my certification and deep appreciation to the Scuba Shack team for a great time. Reef's End and St. Anthony's were great certification dives. I won't soon forget the Back Wall and diverse marine life at Red Hill. The boat is second to none and driven by an exceptional Capt Valerie. Jim and Toby were excellent dive leaders and put a newbie like me at ease. I have no need to look around as Scuba Shack will be my first stop when I get back to Maui! 5 stars everyone and thanks for the memories!!

Best Fathers Day EVER. We visit Maui every year and we will definately return to The Scuba Shack and recommend it to any other visitors or locals!! At first we were worried as our kids (ages 6 & 8) weren't too excited about the whole idea of snorkeling, in fact, our daughter had a bad 'ocean experience' last year so she was completely against the trip and emotional. Thanks to Captain Valerie not only did she make our daughter feel comfortable but she actually made her feel like she was helping out. Next thing we knew both kids were in the water snorkeling right beside us. When the trip was over they both asked if they could do it again tommorrow. Great family experience and thanks to the whole Scuba Shack Crew for making our trip just that much more special.

Charlie, Captain Valerie, Toby and Jim all showed us a fantastic time and fantastic diving. I can't say enough good things about the Scuba Shack. This was my first time back in seven years, and my son and I were met with the finest hospitality and professsionalism. We asked to do a dive on the back wall of Molokini, and the next day that's the dive we did. We also stayed at one of their condos, and it is fantastic. Just two blocks from the boat ramp in Kihei, it has huge vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen that was well stocked with spices and things, very clean, two bedrooms, and Charlie and Michelle made sure we were happy and taken care of. Five stars for their fantastic crew and the 710 horse power dive boat, stocked with all new equipment. Don't let the 5:45 AM start scare you. That's when you'll get the best diving, being the first boat of the day at Molokini.

I got to go with the diving crew last weekend and had a blast! My sister and boyfriend were diving, and I got to snorkel the whole time. I saw all kinds of fish including turtles, sharks and a manta ray. Thank you Captain Val, I felt quite spoiled! We also stayed in Charley's cabin. Next time I go to Maui, I will reserve it...it is super cute and clean!!

Charley: Darrin and I had an amazing experience with your crew. We are both new divers and wanted to spend our vacation doing as much diving as we would. We were a little nervous about booking all of our dives with one company in case if our experience wasn't good. Fortunately, we booked with the Scuba Shack and ended up with an amazing diving company. The equipment was top notch. Everything was brand new. Some of the equipment was only a couple of weeks old. The boat was comfortable and set up for easy access to the water and getting into gear. The best part was the crew. Captain Val was amazing. She could unload and drive a boat better than most men, all the while sporting pink clothes! She was great at checking our gear once it was on and helping us exit and enter the boat safely. Toby, of course was awesome! He has a great eye for creatures of the ocean. He guided us through caves and caverns that were just absolutely beautiful. Dave took us on our first dive and definitely has a great eye for photography. I was a little anxious on my first dive back in the water after over a year but he made me feel comfortable and not rushed. I can see why they call him "Zen Dave". Then there was Jim. Great night dive Jim! I had trouble with staying below the surface but he made sure to fix that in a hurry. Thanks to you all for such a great experience. This is a trip that will stay in our hearts forever. We are very blessed to have found you all to guide us through our diving adventures while we were in Maui!

As a newly certified diver, this was the perfect experience for my first time in the ocean. Charie was accomodating, helpful and sweet in setting up my dive and responding to all of my questions. Captain Valerie knew exactly how to keep a fun vibe while taking care of business - and she's a cool ex-Utah chick which made it even more fun! Great trip to Molokini and Makena Point with delicious sub sandwiches between. Booked entire boat for our group only. Six scuba divers and seven snorkelers from ages 9 to 64. Equipment was top rate, the boat FAST, and crew professional and yet very helpful. "This was the best snorkeling experience I've ever had. My mask and snorkel were far better than our dive trip to Cozumel," according to Liz. Harv did the two dives and thoroughly enjoyed seeing garden eels, white tip shark, ray, and turtles. Great experience! Will recommend to friends coming to Maui.

Charley - Late April both my wife and I had the pleasure of diving Molikini followed by a drift dive off Red Hill. We had a wonderful time Captain Valerie was a pleasure to be with, we had total confidence in her professionalism. Toby was also excellent as to was the other younger lad whose name I have forgotten. Please let me congratulate you on what a great outfit you have put together, I was blown away with your dive boat. I spoke to you at the shop after the dive and you said that you could email me some aerial views of Molokini which gave a different perspective of Molokini than in the photograph which I purchased from the shop down the street. If you could send a picture or two I would be very grateful. We are working on our next holiday and would love to come back to Maui to repeat our experience. Thanks

Just finished a great week of diving with the crew at Scuba Shack. I've been diving with Charley for 13 years now and each year gets better and better. The new boat (Double Scoop) is great and Capt. Valerie takes good care of her divers. Most dives we got to experience white tipped shark sightings. The whales were singing, the water was clear and the marine life was great. I'll be back in four or five months for another set of dives. Until then, thanks to Charley and all the crew for a great time.

I had a great 2 tank dive with the Scuba Shack on April 30th! First dive we saw white tipped reef sharks, moray eels and coral spawning as well as went to a depth of 130ft (Deepest I've ever been!) The viz was kickass, especially at depth (Coming from Canada where 130ft would have been pitch black). Second dive was even better, turtles everywhere, lots of life and since it was a shallow one, I was in for 65 minutes of pure bliss! The topper of it all was the manta ray just as we were about to get out! That's right...MANTA RAY!!! WOOHOO!!! Thanks to Greg, Valerie and the ever so charming Charlie for a great first time Hawaii dive! See you next time!

We have had the time of our lives Scuba Diving with Charley, Val & Toby! Their gear is top notch! They really spoil you, while you are diving! In Maui this should be the only place you dive. We dove up in Lahaina a few days after being in Kihei (diving with Scuba Shack) and we really missed the awesome gear and boat that Charley has! All I kept saying to myself was, "I miss Charley's gear" (the BCD, the regulator, the dive computer and special treatment), it was Awesome!!! Just try it and you will see! It's sad coming home to snow in May... Charley, Val and Toby....THANKS FOT A GREAT TIME!!!!!

Enjoyed the 4 dives with Capt. Valerie and Divemaster Toby very much. Equipment was virtually new and worked flawlessly. Enjoyed the dive spots and saw a good variety of fish, as well as several small sharks and turtles. I never had heard much about diving in Hawaii, but it wasn't bad and was well worth doing. I did my first open water dive with Scuba Shack May 2, 2010. Toby and Cap'n Val were absolutely awesome! I am so inspired to keep diving and coming back again and again to Scuba Shack! We did a second dive day with them today (May 5). I felt completely safe and at ease and was able to enjoy all the beautiful underwater sights. You are in great hands when you dive with Scuba Shack!

I did eight dives with Scuba Shack over the last week and had a great experience. Toby has a keen eye for the underwater creatures that I would have never seen. The gear is top notch with a computer on every set. Great boat and appropriate refreshments, snacks, etc.. for the pre dive and surface interval between dives. I like the fresh pineapple. I think I am going to be buying some of their gear before my next trip. I'll be back.

Though the wind and waves persisted, Captain Valerie and Toby prevailed! Our dive at La Perouse Bay was one of the best I've ever been on! So many SCHOOLS of indigenous fish in one place. Truly beautiful. Of course my favorite will always be my honu, and there were plenty to play with. Mahalo Toby! I felt so safe leaving my pre teen son with 4 other older kids with Captain Valerie at the helm. She was not only helpful and encouraging, she also taught my son dive boat etiquette. He even got to see dolphins! We stopped by the store to see Charley and rent some beach equipment for the week. Incredible inventory, and I love the women's fit t-shirts! I can't thank Scuba Shack enough for being the best dive operation in the world! I'll be back in July, and can't wait to dive with you again!

Fabulous! Fantastic! Awesome! Absolutely amazing experience!!! It was our first time in Maui and it was unbelievable! The highlight was definitely the diving on Monday April 19th. We saw whales & got a glimpse of a dolphin and then the amazing diving experience. I (Kristi) was nervous, but Capt. Val put me at ease and Greg was a fabulous guide - I couldn\'t have done it without him! Toby gave Todd a fantastic dive to depths he has never been and they showed us coral, turtles,sharks, and fish like we have never seen before! Thank you SO much for a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back again!! If you are looking for a top notch, experienced, professional crew with the best boat and equipment - look no further - you have found it!

Great dive, the guides know where to look to find the better wildlife that is hidden, would definitely dive with these folks again. The whole operation is awesome let alone the dive boat! It's like a Hinckley but doesnt cost a million + and doesnt have a bow thruster (Bow thrusters are for wusses)

Had two dives today and two dives two days ago with scuba shack. Captain Valerie was great and the boat is top knotch. Only 15 minutes to molokini with those twin jets was sweet. Jay, Tobi, and Jim were great. Saw tonnes of stuff and Tobi knows where all the gems are, white tip reef sharks, frog fish, and even took me to see a leaf scorpion fish and a fried egg nudibranch. The gear they provide is also top of the line, with integrated computers on each octopus. Highly recommend these guys for sure and will be back. Peace out!

Captain Val was at the normal top of her game and as Toby took out one group, I was with Jay who took us on a smooth dive off the Molokini back wall that visited black coral, large crabs and before I knew it we were down over a hundred feet - with a lot more to go to reach bottom. One heck of a great dive - Charley - you and your whole team run the best diving experience on Maui.

Captain Valerie had her hands full with our family, Jay was a newby scuba certification but the least of her problems, he had a great time at both sites. Jerry has snorkeled many times before and enjoyed Molokini and Turtle Bay. I was the most hesitatnt about snorkeling, but she convinced me to take the equipment \"just in case\". While it took me some time, I did get in at Turtle Bay and had a great time. Thanks to her compassion and encouragement. Lisa, a first time snorkeler couldn\'t get the hang of it. Once again Capt. Valerie was there and made the best of what could have been a very bad situation. I am sorry I forgot the name of the dive master, but he was great as well as Sue the other dive master who took several people who were going for certification. Everyone enjoyed theymselves. Seeing all the people get off one of the catamarns, it was like sheep. We all felt free, but protected. Well done! Will definitely use and recommend Scuba Dhack to everyone we know! We stopped into the ScubaShack after our first day of snorkeling. We had lost a pair of fins already, needed some mask defogger, and the Mrs. had a run-in with a sea urchin the day before we were to get married. She was concerned with the look of her knee for our wedding day when Captain Charley mixed her up some of his, "SPECIAL PASTE," and told her the urchin spines would be gone by morning. Sure enough, he was RIGHT! Thank you Captain Charley! YOU ROCK!

Our scuba dive experience with Charley and Toby was the best choice of dive tours in Hawaii. The dive boat is absolutely the coolest and fastest one on the water, and the dive equipment is the latest, state of the art gear. Since I am a diver and the rest of my family snorkels, we were unsure what would be the best way to accomadate our varying skill levels. Captain Val, Toby and Jim gave all of us the best experience! The equipment was new and top of the line. The group size on the boat was less than 15 including our family of 5. That made the experience much more personable and not so "mass touristy" like alot of the other tour boats. I will definatelly Dive with Scuba Shack on my next visit to Maui. They are #1!!! This was the best dive trip I have taken. Scuba Shack has a great Staff. The Captain Val gave my cousin Kevin and I the super treatment and Toby was an amazing dive leader. These are the folks to dive with if your coming to Maui!! I have family on island and Scuba Shack is the only dive boat they use. These guys are on the water early with the "Super Dive Boat". My son, daughter and I took our open water certification with Jim. We had two dives off the beach and then two dives off the boat. My oldest son joined us for the boat dives. We had such a good time, that we signed up for another two dives later in the week, and were joined by my wife, daughter and son-in-law to snorkel while we dove. Jim was great as an instructor and dive master and the dives were great. The equipment was first rate and the Scuba Shack staff were professional and fun to be around. Captain Valerie handles the boat beautifully. We couldn't have had a better time!

We had a fabulous time diving with Scuba Shack. This was our first time diving on Maui. I'm glad we got to meet the owner Charley Neal who was the captain for the day. All of the crew was very personable. The entire outfit ran like a well oiled machine. The coffee, hot chocolate, and rolls first thing in the morning was a nice touch. Charley's coffee was just the right strength (If you throw it at the wall and it sticks, it is just right). I will definately plan on hooking up with Scuba Shack again in the future.

Great trip with the team from Scuba Shack. We had two intro divers out of the three of us, and Greg was great as our dive master for both of the sites. Would definitely recommend this to any beginning divers looking to go out with an quality outfit, as well as certified divers. There was also great snorkeling for the family members who weren't diving. Will hopefully be going out with them on a certified dive the next time we visit Maui.

Making our second trek to Maui in 2 years I again dove with the crew of Scuba Shack. The crew of Captain Val, Toby, Jim, Sue, and owner Captain Charlie again out did themselves in ensuring that I had another excellent diving experience. We dove Backwall, Reefs End, Tako Flats, Red Hill, and Five Graves-Five Caves and expereinced a multitude of sealife including sharks, eels turtles, octupus, eagle rays and a multitude of tropical fish species. The crew provides excellent briefing, ensures everyones safety, provides top class eqipment and has the fastest boat around. They crew always treated me as if I was their number 1 customer. Thanks to Toby again for lots of wonderful underwater experiences, to Val for her great work captaining the boat and for finally convincing my wife to come on board the boat for a day(PS, now all I need to do is get her under the surface) to Charlie for having all the great equipment, store, boat and a wonderful sense of humour. We look forward to our next trip to Maui and more good times with the crew from Scuba Shack. Mahalo from your friends in Canada!

Love Scuba Shack! Best value in Maui, plus they don't charge extra for gear like so many other dive shops. The other dive shop I used here charged me for a BC, and a faulty one at that. The BC from Scuba Shack was new and worked perfectly. For someone who has a hard time with seasickness, I really love how fast the boat is and the shorter travel time. Captain Valerie, Greg and Jim really know their stuff and took great care of the guests. I'll definitely be back!

Awesome dive, back wall was really cool, made my Maui dive experience exceptional. Crew was great (Toby and Valerie) super friendly upbeat positive individuals. One of the best boat dives ive ever been on, easy with full service. Saw all sorts of animals and always wanted to see a shark, wasn't close enough but still got a view of two in the distance below. Was out diving with Jim on Tuesday the 16th and Friday the 19th of last week. Captain Valerie was a pleasure and handled the Double Scoop like a real master. Jim led us on four amazing dives, and he has a great eye for underwater life. The photographs he took were incredibly impressive, and the CD of images he took on our dives was well worth it. Only chatted with Toby between dives, but he seems like a great diver as well. In all, everyone treated us very well and had great personality and a lot of character. If I manage to get back out to Maui anytime soon, I will definitely be diving with Scuba Shack again. Thanks for the great experience.

We had a wonderful time on our trip with Scuba Shack. Rian and Jeff did a 2 tank dive while Johna and Becky snorkeled both sites. The check-in at the docks was very efficient and the coffee/tea was a nice treat to start off an early morning. Captain Valerie and the guides (Toby and Jim) were very accomodating and took good care of us. The breakfast between dives was very much appreciated also. We enjoyed seeing the whales and dolphins while floating at the dive sites. We will definitely use Scuba Shack again when we're back visiting Maui! Mahalo!

While visiting my folks last March (09)I inquired Charlie about snuba and he talked me into trying Scuba and I was Open Water Certified in a few days with great instruction by Dave. Awesome information about the sealife I was enjoying close-up and could only get a glimpse of while snorkeling. Scuba was really a great new hobby that I look forward to pursuing as much as possible. I look forward to returning to Maui in the next few weeks for more Scuba and will be headed back to Charlie and the Scuba Shack crew for what must be the best operation in the Pacific. I can't wait. Thanks for the wonderful time. My daughter and I went snorkeling with you in the beginning of January. It was too windy to go to Molokini, so Val took us to La Pereuse Bay. We were able to get within 6' of a pod of spinner dolphins. It was amazing!!!

My son finished up his open water certification with Scuba Shack handling his open water dives. Dave was great with him, working with him and making his experience fun and educational. For his final dives we went out with the boat to Molokini and then to Turtle Town. The boat crew, Capt. Valerie, and dive-masters, Dave and Toby, were excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. We had a great time and will definitely be back again.

My 12 & 14 year old kids wanted to try snuba but I'm so glad Charlie talked us into the intro dive instead. Everything was handled great; from the 1 hour pool session to the 2 tank dive. My kids are hooked and want to get certified next time we're back. Snuba wouldn't have come close to this real dive experience. A great day of diving. Both Toby and Dave found various critters underwater. We did two dives at Molokini as the visability at the shore was not very good. I was skiing in Switzerland two day ago and now diving in Maui. Bought back some Swiss chocolates for Maui's own Swiss Miss, Captain Valerie. Doesn't she look yummy! Woo Hoo!

Captain Charley loves the 710 HP. So did we, he gets out faster than the others. He also gives a fantastic dive. It was the highlight of of our vacation. We saw multitudes of fish, sea turtles & a 6' white tip reef shark up close. The under water cavern was excellent. All his staff where as he claims "THE BEST". I highly recommend getting the pictures Charley takes, well worth the money. So THX to Charley & his gang for a excellent experience. I highly recommend the Scuba Shack for diving as it will be our pick the next time we are back in Maui.

Just finished by fourth day of diving with Capt Valarie and the crew of Double Scoop. What a great experience. Three drift dive of Molokini, each one different. Thanks to Toby, we saw a great variety of sea life. I especially enjoyed all the shark, both white tipped and grays. As always the service was excellent and all the divers, no matter what the level of their experience, had a great time. Today was a great day and a sad day. Went out diving with Captain Valerie, Toby and Jim, great day. Last dive of our 2+ week trip, sad day. I cannot express how comfortable the crew makes you feel along with as in my case finding multiple different dive sites for me to enjoy. Drift dives, wreck dives more species of fish etc than I could ever had hoped for. It's going to take me a week to identify all the great things that toby took pics of. Scuba diving in the Molokini Crater was a dream realized for me. Captain Charlie was my dive buddy and he let me experience some amazing beautiful unique underwater treasures.I had not cave dived before and heard from a friend that sharks live in 5 Caves so when Charlie said that was our second dive I was so excited. I bravely followed him into the unknown with his big search light and passed a huge turtle and surfaced inside a cave soo... cool:) Thank you Charlie & Captain Valerie for making diving in Hawaii #no 1 in my book.

Wow. Awesome. Woohoo. And that is just the start. I have been on multiple dives in the last week and each one has been new different and amazing. Charlie is a great owner/captain with an obvious passion for helping people dive. Captain Valerie is the hands down winner for the best looking captain award along with being a great joy to have guiding us around in comfort. Tobie has been the guide for all my scuba shack dives (which will be in the double digits) and has made me so comfortable and really enjoy each dive and look forward to coming back day after day. Although I did not spend much time with Jim I was able to watch him work with some open water students and I thought he did a great job helping them relax and deal with the anxiety that can come from the unknown. Our friend had just received his O/W cert and we were able to do the backside of Molokini! What a treat it was to see whitetips, eels, lionfish, scorpionfish and much more! This was also our first drift dive and it was one of the best dives we've done so far. On our second day, we almost missed the boat (literally) due to the alarm being set for P.M. instead of A.M. We just made it and everyone was very understanding. It was another great morning and we'd just like to say that everyone made our trip truly a fantastic experience. We loved the small groups and how Toby showed us all the COOL stuff! The next time we're in Maui, we'll definitely book our dives with you again. THANKS SCUBA SHACK!

I met up with Charlie at the 2009 Long Beach Scuba Convention. He had that great island attitude that we just couldn't resist. We already had a trip planned with our wives to Maui so a buddy of mine and I booked a 2 day dive excursion. We just finished today seeing the most awesome sites at Molokini and Turtle Town off of Kihei. By far the best dive shop, and one that wants you to make the most of each dive. Charlie and Val were the coolest captains. �Toby and Jim �were great�dive leaders and really made sure we had a great time.�If you're planning on diving in Hawaii, Maui is�the place and Scuba Shack is way!�

Mahalo Scuba Shack!!! I am forever greatful for the amazing experience that I had with your establishment. I came to Maui to move my father from Kihei to Kula and I decided that I wanted to do a boat dive. I am a newly certified diver who has only dove in the Puget Sound. After my first warm water dive and boat dive for that matter, I booked 3 more with you. Every dive was different and just as exciting as the first. The staff was amazing. Toby is GREAT and so is Valerie!!! The only thing I didn't like was the price for the CD's of pictures that were available at the end of each dive. I feel $40.00 is a bit expensive for the people who dove more than once within the same week. Thank you for taking the pictures that is a great way to enjoy looking at everything and not worrying about getting the shot. I will definately be returning in the future for more dives. We did two dives out at elephant rock where we got to enjoy the company of over 30 Hammerhead sharks...up close and personal. I got PADI certified here with my boyfriend last week. We had such a great time we immediately booked another two tank dive. Both times I felt like we were in the hands of a completely professional operation, but we still had fun and weren't overwhelmed with silly rules. We were lucky enough to work with Jim; he is a patient instructor and just a really freaking nice guy. There are amazing divers who absolutely suck as instructors but Jim is not one of them. I had an amazing time and Scuba Shack is the only diving operation I would ever do business with when I'm in Maui.

I made two dive trips with Scuba Shack, 9/13 & 9/17/09. Both trips were flawless and effortless, the dive crew took care of everything. Well, as in the several past visits to Maui, the time spent with the Scuba Shack crew were the most memorable! My girlfriend and I made 4 boat trips, 8 dives, on Molokini, Red Hill and Turtle town. As in the past, the dives were spectacular, and wonderfully captured by the photos taken by the great divemasters that accompanied us. Captain Valerie, Toby and Jim treated us like honored guests, and showed us the typically great time I have come to expect. Charlie runs a first class outfit, with first class gear and equipment. Jim made my girlfriends first real recreational diving experience one she will never forget, literally holding her hand until she was absolutely comfortable with the dive. I chose Scuba Shack because they were recommended by friends who have live in Maui for nearly the thirty years. I booked ten dives the day after I arrived in Maui and dove with the Scuba Shack exclusively during my month-long stay. What I found was that this dive operator is consistently top-notch. I have made many dives, at many destinations and Scuba Shack stands out ahead of the pack. They use a brand new boat with dual jets running 1400 horse power. (The boat is fast �� Molikini in about ten minute on calm seas.) The crew and dive masters are simply awesome. They provide a safe and professional environment while maintaining a relaxed and friendly environment. I know from my personal experience as an Airline Pilot and Navy Pilot that this is a real art. While diving with Scuba Shack, I saw more sharks, turtles eels and topical fish than is imaginable. In addition, Toby, my dive guide continuously pointed out countless varieties of hidden sea life that would otherwise simply go by unnoticed and unseen. What a treat. Thank you to the whole Scuba Shack team. I will surely be back do dive with you all again.

Dove my first time on Maui with the Scuba Shack crew in June,didn't have a reservation,called the day before from Honolulu, Charlie said "no problem" got me on the boat the next day. Had two great dives,Molokini,crystal clear water. Saw reef sharks,octopus,eels,plenty of fish of all kinds. Second dive site,turtles and dolphins.Crew was great (Valeri,Toby,Jim). The folks at Scuba Shack put on a top-notch show! They took care of everything, starting with a helpful reminder email with directions etc. the night before the dive. Scuba Shack has one dive option that starts early (we were in the water before 7 a.m.) so the kids aren't waiting all day for me to get home! When I met them in the morning, check-in with Captain Valerie was easy, and the coffee was good and hot. The 710HP jet-boat is a hoot to ride out to Molokini. They set up my (and everyone else's) equipment efficiently and in a way that made gearing up as easy as possible. The diving itself was spectacular, too. On a single Molokini dive, the Scuba Shack DM led us past a spotted eagle ray, not one but two different kinds of sharks, eels of all kinds, and of course gobs of cool fish and coral. A shallow second dive was just as action-packed, with more green sea turtles than you could point a camera at. It was such a great set of dives that I bought the DVD they made of it (and I never buy stuff like that). I cannot recommend the folks at Scuba Shack highly enough.

Aloha! One evening recently my friends and I met up on Maui - after long flights from Germany, Canada and the Dominican Republic. We were exhausted but headed out with Scuba Shack the very first morning. From our first steps on the boat - we were energized! It was fantastic! Captain Valerie, Toby and Jay were extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. Diving and snorkeling with Scuba Shack is everything you imagine! Captain Charley is a prince and his crew are awesome! I just finished my 5th day of diving with Scuba Shack. Every dive was different, and every dive was special. Captain Val even got to dive with us once. We saw lots of sharks, including the largest gray I've ever seen, more eels than I could count, several frogfish (3 in one dive), crab, shrimp, and more reef fish than are in any book. The staff is most deserving of its #1 rating in Hawaii. Charley and Michelle in the shop, Toby, Dave, Gregg, and Jim as dive leaders, and Captain Val all make sure every customer is treated like a VIP. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The entire staff and crew of the Scuba Shack were a joy to spend the week with. From the referral dives to complete open water certification, to the boat dives throughout our stay in Maui, we can't say enough. James, Toby and Valerie were awesome. The sea life we saw on each dive was amazing, and the Giant Ray on the final day is something we will never forget. Importantly, we new we were in good hands throughout. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I dove with Scuba Shack on July 13, 2009. We were on a cruise and scheduled this dive on our own. The owner, Charlie, was VERY friendly and helpful over the phone in scheduling the dive. This was our first dive without my sister (who was our instructor) so I was VERY nervous!!! Charlie was very helpful. Once we arrived I met our divemaster Toby. Toby is PHENONMENAL!!!! I could not have asked for a better divemaster or experience. He was very patient and kind in regards to me being nervous. He set the whole tone for the rest of our dives throughout the trip. After I dove with Toby, I felt more confident and was more at ease to dive on my own in our other ports of call. I cannot express how grateful I am for this because of all our other dives (there was a total of 3, each a 2 tank dive) there was on one other divemaster that was even close to Toby in regards to AWESOMENESS and Professionalism:) If I had not started the trip out with Toby and Scuba Shack I seriously doubt if I would have enjoyed or possibly even particiapted in the other dives!!! Thanks Toby and Scuba Shack for an INCREDIBLE experience. I will definitely be recommending you to anyone I know headed towards Maui!!!

Wow!! Hugh Black Manta Ray decided to swim by at Molokini. Captain Valerie sure knows which spot to pick. Both Toby and Dave found all the creatures, sharks, barracuda, eels and of course the Black Manta Ray. Then if was off to St Anthony, to find uh, just turtles. My 15 y/o son and I went out for 2 dives with Scuba Shack and they were great! The staff and equipment were top notch. We saw lots of sea life eels , sharks , mantas turtles etc. and the highlight for my son was the lobster boat wreck. I highly recommend them.

We live in the desert and having the chance to do some diving was a big deal for us. I had asked the local PADI shop for a recommendation on who to charter while in Maui and Scuba Shack was the first choice. After our two dive day, I can see why. On July 16th, I had the best dives ever!1st we went to Molokini then to Red Hill! I saw 1 manta ray, 6 sharks, 5 eagle rays, helmet shell, rhino shrimp, 5 or 6 eels, 2 octpus, and one "velvet" puffer fish!!! It was amazing, and the dive masters are always patient, and they know where EVERYTHING is!It was really exciting!About a week ago I went diving with Scuba Shack, and it was also amazing, because I saw a manta ray, and about 4 sharks. This is for anybody who reads my comment; if you are looking to do a boat dive, you are in luck because are in the right place because you have to go to Scuba Shack it is just mind blowing on what you can see and how patient they are! I had the dives of my life!Scuba Crew is here for you!!! P.S. Michelle who works in the store is the sweetest, most easy going, and patient. My dad; who stops in to pick up tanks etc. says she's easy on the eyes!!!!!

Let me preface this with the fact that I am PADI Master Instructor and have been diving throughout the world for over thirty years. My wife and I recently dove with Scuba Shack during our week in Maui. WOW!!! I have never dove with a more squared away operation. Everything was perfect. We feel spoiled as it was the most effort free dive experience that we have ever had. Captain Val and the crew did everything for us. All we were required to do was have fun and that we did. I had a great time diving with Jim, David, and Captain Val. Great dive boat with plenty of room, and nice and dry. We dove molokini with 150' viz. On our second div e we had the pleasure of diving with an 6-8' manta ray over on reef's end. My students were amazed as to how smooth everything went from checking in, to being back at the dock by 10am and going to breakfast after diving twice in one day! I can't say "Thank You" enough to Jim for his steadfast patience and enthusiam when teaching our three teenage girls to dive! With varying levels of confidence and knowledge, our kids could prove to be a challenge to any instructor. However, he was a master at bringing them all together for some fantastic dives in Maui! Twenty years after our certification, it was very special for me and my husband to share such a special experience with our children. What a great group of people, great equipment, and a very nice boat. My son and I just completed our open water dives with the Scuba Shack. We are from Montana so the clear, warm water of Maui was wonderful. Jim was our instructor...what a great guy! He made us feel very comfortable, answered all of my questions and lead us through our dives with ease. My son went on to do 10 more dives during our stay with another friend and his family and he had a wonderful time. I went out with the Scuba Schack for a third day with Jim, Dave, and Captain Valerie. As new divers I would highly recommend the Scuba Shack for your dives, they do a great job. The dives were wonderful, the sealife, coral, color of the water is beautiful here. We are hooked on diving and plan to be back next year with more of our family to dive with the Scuba Schack. A big thanks goes out to Jim from Tanner and myself...your love and passion for diving is transferred into your ability to instruct and make others feel comfortable with the world under the water. June 22, 2009. We just returned from a 10 day vacation on the island of which we dived 5 days with Scuba Shack. Charley and his staff were great. Amazing time! Mark and I had just got certified at a lake in Oklahoma with about 15 ft. of visibility the weekend before diving at Molokini. We had 150 ft. of visibility and Toby took us on 4 dives. We got to see a huge manta ray, lots of reef sharks, tons of sea turtles, barracudas, the list goes on and on! Best of all is that he took lots of pictures and videos of us and we got to share this incredible experience with our friends and family. We will definately be back!

Went out for early morning dive to Molokini's back wall and Red Hill. Love the boat. We�re first boat at the dock, in the water. 10 minutes to Molokini and first and only boat in the water. Decided against the Back Wall dive because of choppy waters, but appreciate the concern: safety first. The Reef's End dive was a spectacularconsolation prize. Red Hill was also a pleasant surprise. Great dive operation and solid staff. Would recommend to all. Got back in time to sneak a round of golf in the afternoon! Mahalo Scuba Shack.

Charley thanks for convincing my husband to take a dive trip with Scuba SHACK. This was our first trip to MAUI! The diving was amazing and the boat ride was even more fun. First Time to Maui and selected Scuba Shack based on a recommendation from a friend. They did not disappoint. Charlie and Capt. Valerie were great. The boat (Double Scoop) was fast and roomy, getting us to the dive locations before any of the other boats. I thoroughly enjoyed going on afamily vacationand not having to drag my equipment with me. The equipment provided by Scuba Shack was as good as my own and was newer. I will definitely dive with them again.

6/2/09 Dove the crater with Jay. While FUN was the order of the day, Valerie and the crew were VERY professional and safety conscious. Vis was great inside the crater. Jay gave a good pre-dive briefing, periodically checked air for everyone, and did the dive at an easy pace so as not to miss anything. When I called to confirm Michelle was very helpful giving directions to the dock for the following morning. The equipment we used was in great shape. I would have no reservations about sending a referral student to Scuba Shack.

Great couple of days diving with Scuba Shack. On Friday, both Toby and Jim found lots of eels and sharks at Molokini. The eel fest continued at Wailea Point. On board Double Scoop, Captain Valerie was headbanging to 'Tallica!! Wooooo Hoooo!!!!!!Unbeknownst to us divers, the Captain is a closet rocker babe! Oh yeah!!!!! She looks cute in her Metallica shorts! It was such a nice day on Saturday, Charley took us to the Golden Arches. A rare treat indeed. Charley found some lobsters and a school of barracudas. Next we went to 5 Graves where Charley found a rare Hawaiian Monk Seal in the bubble cave!!! Can't wait to dive on Sunday!

On Friday, both Jim and Toby found a lot of eels at Molokini. At the end Toby found a huge barracuda. Then, the eel fest continued at Wailea Point. On Double Scoop, Captain Valerie was headbanging to 'Tallica!!! Woooooooooo Hoooooooooo!!!!! She's a closet rocker babe!!! Oh Yeah!! On Saturday, the weather was calm so Charley took us to the Golden Arches, a rare treat indeed. And on the second dive, Charley did one better by finding a rare Hawaiian Monk Seal!!! Wow!

At 52 I have been diving for many years now and experienced much of the Pacific Northwest, Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii but have never met a dive shop as well equipped and staffed as the Scuba Shack. Great experience. In fact it was so good that I dove with them the entire week and made arrangements for my wife to finish her certification with them; since she started with some OTHER guys that were pretty obnoxious to the point of making her want to stop diving. The overall experience was so good that not only she got certified but she�s becoming SCUBA addict like my self. The boat is awesome, environment is great and if you dive more than once with them they WILL try to show you some other spots. Charlie, Toby, Michele, Dave, Capt Valerie and Jim... thank you. First time diving with Capt. Valerie, Instructors Toby,and Jim. Capt Valerie is a great captain and very safety minded with her divers in and out of the water. Instructors are the best at their equipment briefing, and dive site briefing. I had 2 friends from Seattle, who haven't been diving since Thailand in 2006, and Toby had them at ease within minutes of meeting them. Boat was very spacious, CLEAN, and dry. Being Kama'aina from Maui and a PADI instructor and boat captain as well, I would/will HIGHLY RECOMMEND my ohana and friends to continue to dive with ScubaShack. I now understand why they are "NO KA OI" (number one)....feels like diving with family. Mahalo's...A Hui Ho.....

MAHALO SCUBA SHACK. I went with these guys on a referal from a friend who has used them two years in a row. I can say from experience with other dive companies on Maui and seeing the other boats and their set ups that Scub Shack runs a fun, very personable and well organized boat. I would hightly recomend this company for first time visitors and those that have not used them yet. My son and I dove with Toby and Jim and found them to be excellent underwater guides, pointing out all the marine life both large and small in the reefs and waters. We will use Scuba Shack again on our return visit in the future, Aloha.

It was my first post operation dive and Captain Valerie, Jim and Charley made sure I didn't strain myself coming back on Double Scoop. Jim would jump in the water and put my gear on to bring it back on the boat and Captain Valeria would just pick it up from the water. The Captain is looking more buff this year. Woo Hoo!!! As always, Charley found all the critters of the deep, and thanks for not throwing cold water on me.

As a veteran NAUI Instructor I always try to find the best operation wherever I dive. In Hawaii, that operation is the Scuba Shack, hands down. Charlie, Jim and Capt. I choose Scuba Shack from the internet based on their web site, their store was very close to the condo we were staying in, and from what I could see on the net their discount price for multiple dives was as good as or better than the others. I was paying for myself and 2 daughters, so the discount was a lot of cash to me. Both my daughters were certified with you in Jasper, but had never dove other than the open course. We dove 5-days with Scuba Shack. All things considered, I would rate Scuba Shack as the best overall dive operator I have dove with, i.e. boat/equipment/personel/experience.

their boat is nearly new, less than a year old. From what I saw, it was clearly the largest and best boat operating out of Kihei. I would rate the boat as the best trailer launch boat (which they are all there) I have dove from. No other boat that I saw would come close.

their scuba rental gear is clearly the newest and best I have seen in my travel. Equipment is regularly replaced. (Far better condition than your rental equipment.)

they provide a very consistent experience. Each day is the same with a clear safety review at the start, clear dive plan and consistent procedures for reboarding/gear/etc. The day ends with the same thank you and sales pitch.

the dive masters were all well experienced and guided us well.

Captain Valerie does a great job, and, as a Captain, is simply one of a kind.

Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending Scuba Shack - Maui to your clients. On my next trip to Maui I would not consider any other operator out of Kihei.

Scuba Shack was the best place ever to finish up our scuba certification!!! We were treated by Divin' Dave (our instructor), Toby, and Valerie to the best first open water scuba experiences. Dave had this Zen quality about him, it was impossible to get nervous and he takes expert pictures as well. Valerie, (who reminded me of Malibou Barbie at first glance) has these amazing boat handling skills that rival any other, while still keeping that manicure in perfect condition, I was in awe. Spent 3 days diving with Scuba Shack last week. Once again, it was first class from start to finish. Safety and fun are Scuba Shack's mantras. Returning customers are remembered, and new customers are so welcomed that they inevitably become returning customers. As for sea life, I saw 9 sharks at Five Caves (Toby said there were 10). There were frogfish, harlequin shrimp, leaf scorpions, and numerous eel. On the backside of Molokini we saw a hawksbill turtle and a lobster that could have fed the entire boat. Thanks Charley, Michelle, Toby, Val, and Jim. The days I spend diving are always the high points of my time on Maui.

A BIG MAHALO TO THE SCUBA SHACK CREW FROM YOUR FRIENDS IN UTAH! We all voted that Maui was our favorite stop on the cruise because you were so accomodating with our schedule and ready to roll as soon as we arrived. Our dive in Kauai the day before (with a different dive shop) felt like we spent more time loading the boat and waiting for the crew than we did on our actual dive. While our late start prevented us from diving Molokini, we were still able to do some very impressive dives at St. Anthonys and Turtle Town. James and Sean have always wanted to dive a wreck! Annie and I loved the turtles, reef sharks, and the underwater air cave! Jerry loved the whole thing, but was most greatful to Captain Val for letting him "pretend" he was the captain to help him avoid being sea sick! We would all love to come back and dive with you in Maui again!

Jim did a great job with the training and certification for myself and my two younger sons. My husband and older son came out the second day for refresher Ulua beach dives with us, which prepared us all for the awesome final 2 boat dives off Molokini and Wailea Beach. Captn Val is a hoot and the operation is well-oiled. We appreciated that all the equipment was supplied (and top-notch), including optical mask lenses. My 11 year old loved the diving and got to stay out longer with Jim than the rest of us since he used less air than the rest of us. We also want to thank Jim for the awesome pictures on the DVD!

Sis had a wedding to attend and asked if I�d accompany her�duh; she slept in and I was at the 0545 roll-call at the boat ramp. Smart, smooth operation (I now have 1243 logged dives). Don�t really like other folks setting up my gear, but first AM DM Dave said he had a Zeagle similar to mine, and sure enough, no worries (same for Toby, Greg, and Capt Valerie). I called from Sis� place in AZ and, like a bonehead, I signed up for 4 straight days of diving - sleep is, after all, for the weak. First two days wind was howling and it was a wet-cycle washing machine getting to and from the crater. Crew was awesome though, and somehow everyone stayed in a great mood, despite the soaking rain and spray�a bad day of diving truly is better than a good day at work. Diving was unaffected, with great vis and lots of critters to take pictures of. The last two days the seas were flat and sun was out, which was paradise compared to the first two days. Scuba Shack�s dive ops run real smooth, and, despite Elf-sized space to gear up, these guys got it going on. The rinsing of all gear after the last dive is a nice touch, and the crew handles it all. I bring my own gear and there was never an issue with misplacing any of it. On the last day, I finally got in an experienced group and Greg took us deep outside the crater. Getting narked at 7 AM is the best way to start the day, yee haw. Met some great folks from the states and Canada. Charlie has hired the right people to crew The Scoop - will dive with these guys again, no worries.

Great dives. We went on two separate days (1 and 5 March 2009). Other than the cold, the dive conditions were great. Wonderful gear -- much better than what us newbies used on our certification dives on the mainland. Toby was patient with us and provided a lot of help. Capt. Charley & Capt. Valerie did a great job and were fun loving people. The other divers were also fun and easy to get along with. Just watched the DVD Toby made -- was well worth the price!

Eric and I had a great time last week! It certainly was windy but Valerie and Charley guided us to the best spots on the island. Toby did an excellent job underwater and found all sorts of critters: octopus, leaf scorpionfish, fireworms, and a small group of hawaiian lionfish. We picked Scuba Shack because of their very fast boat, and had to chuckle at how Captain Valerie loves her baby! The crew is fast, efficient, and takes care of all your needs in a professional yet relaxed way. We went out for 2 dives on 2/28/09 (too windy to do Molokini) and returned for 2 more on 3/5/09 (Molokini-yay!- and St. Anthony), spending most of our time with Divemaster Toby. After 17 years, Toby\'s skill is evident, and he obviously enjoys what he does. I was very impressed that when I was the last and only diver down with Toby and it was about time to go up, Toby spent a few extra minutes to show me a cool, red octopus hiding out, when he could have just signaled to go up and end the dive. The DVD of our family he made for us was a great remembrance! Thanks, Toby, you\'re a great guy and terrific Divemaster! Dave was also an excellent guide under the water - thanks for massaging my leg cramp. I (Mary) was pretty nervous about diving, but feel a lot more confident now.

On our 1st first day of diving the wind was horrific other dive shops were chickining out... but not Captain Valerie she gunned that baby through that sea smoke and found a calm spot were Toby guided us on a great dive off shore. Day 2 just as windy no other options but off shore again yet Toby was able to guide us on another awesome adventure were we saw things we didnt see the first time and the chatter coming from the Whale's was unbeliveable. For my retirement celebration we went to Maui for our first visit. I happened to walk into the Scuba Shack and found out about their diving trips. Since I haven't been diving for almost 15 years I thought it would be great to try it again. On 2-15-09 I went out with Captain Valerie and dive master Dave for two dives. Being a little nervous, Dave and Val took time to refresh me on my equipment knowledge and made me feel right at home on my first dive. The fish at Molokini and turtles at Turtle town were beautiful to see. The pictures Dave took will be memories to last a long time. This was my first warm water dive and I look forward to returning in the future for more diving with them. Thank for the memories.

I came to SS on a referral for the open water portion of my certification. My wife came along on the boat to snorkel. My instructor, Jim Dingman was great. He knows his stuff. We got through the skills efficiently so we had lots of time to dive and explore. I saw a shark, turtles, squids and a crab. Charley and Valerie run a tight ship while also keeping it really fun. Valerie was great with my wife helping her overcome a little oceanic apprehension. After our boat time with the Scuba Shack crew, my wife is a snorkel addict (I am still hoping she will make the leap to SCUBA!). I would definitely go back and dive with Scuba Shack in Maui.

We had a GREAT time! The boat is awesome (especially the warm shower) and the crew is even awesomer (awesomest?). Capt. Valerie is confident and helpful and super nice. Woohoo! :-) Our dive master, Jay, pointed out all kinds of cool fish and even got a puffer fish to puff up for us! The octopus were abundant too. Jay has a great eye for spotting sea life. Thanks folks. We'd drift dive again with this crew any day!

I just wanted to comment on what an amazing experience Captain Charlie and his crew gave us! My mom and I went to Maui for her 50th birthday. She was terrified of the ocean ever since she was a kid, but her fear was the one thing she wanted to overcome by the time she turned 50. She decided to do this by getting on a boat, jetting (because Charlie's boat is the coolest, fastest boat ever) to what is essentially the middle of the ocean in Molokini, and jumping in! She was completely apprehensive and terrified, in truth, but Captain Charlie was so much fun, and able to put her at ease that she was able to do it. Granted, she did throw up off of the back of the boat, but she was very brave. We spent every remaining day of our trip snorkling, and really had a chance to bond, thanks to our outing with Captain Charlie and Crew. When we come back (next year?) we can't wait to visit our new friends! Thank you so much, again for the most incredible time! You hold a special place in our hearts!!! Much love!

What a great place to scuba through! The staff is so fun and enjoyable we ended up hanging out for a couple of hours in the shop after we were done scuba diving. We also had a wonderful time on our dives. I was doing my open water dives and they made me feel at ease so I could really enjoy the experience! Swimming w/ the turtles in turtletown was awesome. We got to see octopus, eels, pufferfish and much more. Thanks for a wonderful underwater and out of water experience! You rock!

Mahalo! After spending the last month on Maui and Kona, logging 18 dives, Scuba Shack is still the one who sets the bar and is the one to beat! As a yearly repeat customer with Scuba Shack I hate to go with any other charter outifit, but unfortuanetly sometimes I have to (different locations or different islands). It is after these trips that I really appreciate you guys. Everything from the crew to the gear to the new boat is top notch! Thank you for another GREAT experience and can't wait to the next dive trip with you all!!

We came for a referral certification and it couldn't have been smoother or more professional with Greg as a guide. The honest evaluation of my wife's comfort in the water let her go slower but gave her confidence and a desire to return for scuba certification. The equipment was first class and Captain Valerie took particular care to ensure the safety of everyone in the water. Mahalo!

We are all first time snorklers, Captain Val was great, and the snorkling at Molokini was amazing, we saw so many colorful fish, and the green sea turtles were fun to watch at Turtle Town. Thanks, and we'll see you next time.

Ok, ok, ok... so it took me a long time to send a comment but I did promise so here it goes. I have dove four times with Scuba Shack on my trips out to Maui - every time has been great! The aquatic life is amazing, the water, is clear, ad the spots are great. Charlie and his entie crew are alot of fun and very knowledgable and safe. I have dove with Toby several times and I am impressed by his diving skills. As for Bianca... let me tell you what she can do with duct tape? OK, my toes got skinned from the the fins and she helped repair with some tape. I visited in May 08, Nov 08, and I am returning to Maui in May 09. I will plan to be on the bot again for a few days of diving with the crew. Thanks Scuba Shack for the adventures! P.S. Charlie, you promised to put a good picture up.

We had a great time out on our 6 boat dives. Capt. Val, Toby and Greg were awesome. We unfortunately were limited to dives only at Molokini because of the storms and the incredibly large waves. Capt. Val took very good care of me when I got sea sick and had to abort one of my dives. While the rest of the group was diving we got an incredible whale show. Yea!! The boat crew took care of all equipment needs. Setup, swapping, take down, rinsing, masks, basically everything was done by the crew! I have never done any boat dives where I had to do nothing but enjoy the diving! This is also the first time I had a warm water shower available on a boat. The great boat was just a topper on a most pleasurable diving experience.

Recently I was certified through scuba shack with Jim D as my instructor. What a fantastic experience. He was the right mix of professional, safe, and fun. I had an amazing first dive and the whole staff treated my fianc�e and I like gold. Definitely going to make it back. Thanks again Jim, Charlie and the rest of the staff.

Thanks again Val, Jim and Toby for the great dives! The family all had an experience they will never forget. Since we are new to diving I am not necessarily the best source to say whether you are the best shop or not, but I can say that we had a great time. The boat and equipment were all excellent - certainly the best I have ever used. Val and the entire crew really took care of us and made this thoroughly enjoyable. The price was the lowest I found, yet the quality was the highest. I am so glad I found and tried Scuba Shack and would not hesitate to use you again. I would recommend you to anyone looking for great diving at a great price.

6 great dives made for an awesome stay in Maui. Greg and Toby were outstanding instructors, and miraculously brought me home alive an well. Even though it was rainy on our first dive, Val kept us warm, full and excited to continue. The scenery was beautiful and seeing the sharks was a fantastic experience. Can\'t wait to see you guys next year when we come for the maui invitational.
